叶玉如：香港能在国家科技发展中扮演重要角色 中国科学院院士、香港科技大学(科大)副校长叶玉如近日接受了中新社记者采访，并对香港科技创新力量投下信心一票。2004年，她获得“联合国教科文组织世界杰出女科学家成就奖”，成为首位夺得此奖的香港人，该奖项有“女性诺贝尔科学奖”之称。 这位世界级神经生物学家在香港出生，中学毕业后远赴美国修读化学和生物学，及后在美国哈佛大学医学院获得药理学博士学位，从此踏上科研之路。 1993年，科大成立不久，叶玉如受聘回港任教及从事科研工作，从4人的实验室开始，经过17年时间，终于在2010年建立起拥有数十位研究员的“分子神经科学国家重点实验室”。至今，她一直担任分子神经科学国家重点实验室主任，历年来获得许多重要奖项。叶玉如的成功充分证明香港并非“科研荒漠”，关键在于合作。…
